Controversy Over Public Transport Strike in Argentina

Marcelo Pasciuto, director of Grupo DOTA, expressed his disagreement with the measures adopted by the UTA regarding the bus strike that is currently taking place. In an interview on radio Splendid, Pasciuto mentioned the existence of internal divisions within the union and the need for a complete restructuring of the system.

"In DOTA there is freedom of work," Pasciuto emphasized, highlighting the importance of addressing the issues that affect users, workers, businesses, and the State in general. The leader stressed that the current system is collapsed and that any restructuring must align with market demands.

Pasciuto also pointed out that some bus lines are generating economic losses and that subsidies should be allocated more selectively. "The fare must be economical and efficient. It makes no sense to keep buses running when they are not needed," concluded the director of Grupo DOTA.
