Mario Firmenich, former leader of Montoneros and resident in Spain, urged support for the rights of Argentine citizens to a dignified pension, access to medications, and quality medical care. In a video that went viral on social media, he expressed his support for the call to accompany retirees on Wednesday, March 12, in front of the National Congress at 5 PM.

"We all have a duty to support the rights of our fellow citizens to a dignified pension, access to their medications, and good medical care," Firmenich highlighted in his message. Additionally, as a follower of Racing Club de Avellaneda, he expressed his solidarity with the call and emphasized the importance of support from football fans in these demonstrations.

Firmenich's call generated reactions in both the political sphere and on social media, amidst the controversy over the incidents that occurred during the mobilization, which included clashes between protesters and security forces. Firmenich emphasized that football fans are expressing solidarity in defense of retirees and added that, united, they represent the Argentine people.

"The fans of our social and sports clubs united are the Argentine people," Firmenich stated in his video calling for participation in the retirees' march. In his statements, he highlighted the vulnerable situation of retirees, considering them one of the most unprotected sectors of society.
