Javier Milei, president, made an important announcement through a video. Milei's return to the account managed by Gutiérrez generated speculation about Milei's role in presidential communication. Previously, he had been removed from the official digital management after his time at Casa Rosada.
Milei resumed contact with his followers through the account "El Peluca Milei" on Twitter, a communication channel previously managed by Iñaki Gutiérrez, a former official at Casa Rosada. Gutiérrez was displaced along with Eugenia Rolón, his girlfriend. In his message, Milei announced that he would send a project to Congress to sign a new agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
At the Opening of Ordinary Sessions of Congress, Gutiérrez was present, which fueled rumors about his relationship with the president's inner circle. In the midst of the controversy over the aggression reported by Facundo Manes, Gutiérrez published a message minimizing the episode and defending Santiago Caputo, Milei's main advisor.
Milei's project involves a disbursement of funds to stabilize the accounts of the Central Bank, allowing the Treasury to settle the debt with the Central Bank. According to Milei, this will not increase the gross debt and will help combat inflation, as well as allowing the lifting of currency controls.
Referring to the aggression reported by Facundo Manes, Gutiérrez wrote: "There is no more room for show-offs like Manes with Santiago Caputo present, it was made very clear." And he concluded his message with a powerful: "Long live freedom, damn it!"
