
The governor of Tucumán, Osvaldo Jaldo, emphasized the importance of respecting institutional acts despite any political differences that may exist, highlighting that they are fundamental to democracy. He stressed the need to seek consensus among all Argentinians to steer the country in the right direction, highlighting the emphasis placed since the beginning of his term on the issue of security in the province with the goal of ensuring that Tucumanians live in peace.
Regarding electoral reform, Jaldo announced that it will be carried out consensually so that it can genuinely benefit Tucumán and assured that they will not conclude their mandate without implementing this reform in the province. For his part, Sergio Mansilla expressed the importance of working with legislators from different spaces to unify criteria and achieve an electoral law that satisfies everyone.
The governor highlighted the inauguration of penitentiary establishments last year in Tucumán, as well as various projects carried out with the support of the Provincial State and national and international funds, such as the Vipos aqueduct and the expansion of roads. He expressed gratitude for the recognition from the National Minister of Security, Patricia Bullrich, towards the work done in the province.
Jaldo expressed his opposition to political interventions and supported the legitimacy of governors elected by popular mandate, while also defending a position against acts of sedition and threats against democratic stability. He emphasized commitment to institutional reform and highlighted achievements made in financial matters and works with provincial resources.
Regarding security, the governor pointed out the decrease in homicides in the province and the importance of working together with mayors to maintain order and tranquility. He stressed the need to protect democratic institutions and highlighted the progress made in various areas during his term.
The governor referred to the detention of individuals involved in attempts at sedition, reaffirming his stance in defense of democracy and institutional stability. He also announced that the current year will focus on public works and highlighted efforts to improve the living conditions of the inhabitants of Tucumán, with special emphasis on transparency and joint work as the pillars of his administration.
