
An 18-year-old young man named Rodríguez was accused of being the material author of the crime against Leandro Giménez, 31 years old, during an attempted robbery in Argentina. The victim, who was driving a car from the DiDi ride-sharing application, was approached by the alleged passenger, who tried to rob him at the end of the ride. Giménez resisted and the thief shot him, causing his death.
In a subsequent operation, two individuals who were with the detainee were identified, and a series of evidence was seized, including five cell phones, a Posnet device, cards, documentation, clothing used in the event, and a firearm of type "Pistolón" caliber 36mm without brand or serial number. Several cartridges and ammunition of different calibers were also seized.
The case was referred to the Homicides UFI of La Matanza, which classified it as aggravated homicide due to the use of a firearm. The alleged criminal, accused of murdering the ride-sharing driver in La Matanza, was finally arrested in Villa Soldati after a series of raids.
Rodríguez T., the 18-year-old defendant, was arrested by provincial police and Federal Police thanks to undercover work that revealed his whereabouts in Villa Soldati. Following police information, the agents positioned themselves in a private vehicle and, noticing suspicious movements, broke into a house located in Tower 8 on Rodrigo de Triana street in Villa Soldati, where the detention of T. was carried out.
