Senators Discuss Impeachment Amid Political Show

After the scandal related to the promotion of the memecoin $LIBRA by Javier Milei and the failed attempt by the opposition to establish an investigative committee, the Chief of Cabinet, Guillermo Francos, shared his reflections. Several senators, particularly from Kirchnerism, expressed their opinions and mentioned the possibility of a political trial and an investigative committee.

Guillermo Francos highlighted that, with a group of six senators and the support of other colleagues, they were able to prevent each of the proposals put forward by Kirchnerism. In a radio interview, he indicated his perception that an attempt was being made to politicize a situation that he considered illogical. Although he acknowledged that the lesson learned was the need to prevent people with unclear proposals from accessing the president's office.

The Chief of Cabinet emphasized that the investigation should be carried out through the Justice system, which was the appropriate instance. In that sense, he raised the question of the number of scandals that occurred during the years of Kirchnerist government. Despite everything, Francos stressed that the investigation should remain within the judicial sphere and made it clear that the Senate should not become a political spectacle.

In the context of this situation, Guillermo Francos considered that the week had been successful for the Government.
