LIBRA Gate Investigation Takes a New Turn

The cause of LIBRA gate, related to the government of Javier Milei, has taken an unexpected new turn. The defense of Hayden Davis has announced its intention to file as a complainant before the Justice. Yanina Nicoletti, lawyer for the American businessman, confirmed this decision, stating that they seek to defend the reputation of the project's creator.

In Nicoletti's words: "Not observing a state effort that involves the use of the mechanisms provided by laws to investigate, detect and repress, it becomes necessary for us to present ourselves as complainants before the Argentine Justice."

The lawyer refers to prosecutor Eduardo Taiano, who recently ordered the first evidentiary measures to determine the circumstances of the LIBRA gate case and the involvement of the accused, including the president and other individuals such as Julian Peh, Mauricio Gaspar Novelli, Manuel Terrones Godoy, and Sergio Daniel Morales.

Meanwhile, Davis has clarified that Milei did not obtain financial benefits from the maneuver that involved the promotion of the token and its subsequent elimination on social media. The businessman has also commented that Milei does not have solid knowledge about cryptocurrencies.

After the scandal broke out at the end of last week, more than a hundred criminal complaints were filed against the president, members of his team, and other libertarian collaborators. So far, a total of 112 filings have been made.
