
The scandal surrounding the cryptocurrency $Libra has not significantly affected the positive image of President Javier Milei, who remains ahead of other leaders, according to a private report from the Giacobbe consultancy. The investigation reveals that Milei's positive image stands at 49.6%, maintaining this level since October of the previous year. However, negative perceptions of the president have increased by 10 points, reaching 46.6%, especially among those who previously had a neutral opinion of him.
Javier Milei remains the leader with the most positive image following the scandal related to the cryptocurrency, followed by the Governor of Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillof (30.4%), and former presidents Mauricio Macri (26.8%) and Cristina Fernández de Kirchner (24.5%).
According to the survey conducted, the majority of respondents claimed to be well informed about the case: 72.4% indicated they were very informed, 24.6% somewhat informed, while only 2.1% stated they knew nothing about it. Regarding the importance of the issue, 47.4% consider it very important, 18.9% somewhat important, and 32.9% do not see it as relevant.
Regarding opinions on Milei's responsibility in the cryptocurrency case, 45.3% believe he is to blame for being aware that it was a scam, 21.6% think he was deceived but acted irresponsibly, and 31.5% consider he was deceived and bears no responsibility in the matter. Lastly, 40.3% believe Milei deserves a political trial, 51.6% hold the opposite view, and 7.3% have not formed an opinion on the matter.
