Four criminals arrested after confrontation with police

Four criminals were arrested after exchanging gunfire with the police in Tres de Febrero, Province of Buenos Aires, while trying to escape in a stolen car. During the confrontation, one of them was injured.

According to the police report accessed by the Argentine News Agency, the thieves refused to identify themselves to the officers of the Comando Tres de Febrero and fled in a Renault Kardian with an active seizure request and altered license plates, requested by the Second Police Station of Isidro Casanova.

The police initiated a chase that ended when the criminals crashed into another parked vehicle. At that moment, they opened fire on the authorities, who responded to the attack. One of the assailants, identified as Nicolás Rucci, was shot in the left leg and was taken to Carrillo Hospital for medical attention before being arrested.

In addition to Rucci, three other gang members were also captured: Alejandro Dionisio Silva (31 years old), Diego Armando Selvestrelli (29 years old), and Alexis Vial (38 years old). The police officers suffered minor injuries, and the San Martín Prosecutor's Unit, under Prosecutor Giordano, ordered the seizure of the vehicle, forensic examinations by the Gendarmerie, and the confiscation of the weapons used.

The four criminals were charged with offenses of assault and resistance to authority, weapon abuse, and concealment. This incident serves as a reminder of the dangers that security forces face daily in their fight against crime.
