The controversy surrounding the cryptocurrency Libra and President Javier Milei's involvement in its promotion has generated diverse reactions in Congress and Argentine society. While some legislators advocate for political trial, others propose an investigative commission to clarify what happened.
Deputy Florencio Randazzo emphasized the importance of explaining the situation with the cryptocurrency to society and Congress, contradicting those who have already called for the political trial. In this regard, he pointed out that legislators lack jurisdiction to evaluate the performance of functions.
For his part, Pablo Juliano, president of the dissident radical bloc, stated that the proposal for political trial seems more like a strategy to gain political advantage. The PRO and the DPS also expressed their opposition to joining what they consider a political maneuver by Kirchnerism.
