The Justice resolved to process former President Alberto Fernández on Monday in the case for gender violence against Fabiola Yáñez. The decision was made by federal judge Julián Ercolini, who requested an investigation of the former president for two acts of 'minor injuries', doubly aggravated for having been committed in a context of gender violence and against his partner; and for 'serious injuries', aggravated by gender violence, and 'coercive threats', in real competition.
Alberto Fernández has presented chats to prove his enmity with Judge Ercolini in a key piece of evidence. The magistrate also decided to impose a seizure of $10 million, although he lifted the travel ban on Fernández that had been in place since August, although now he will have to request permission every time he needs to travel.
After rejecting the nullity argument presented by the defense, Ercolini requested that the restrictive measures be maintained, such as ceasing acts of disturbance or intimidation by the accused towards the former first lady. The news is still developing.
