A man, suspected of being the shooter who killed Hilda Cristina Tello last month in La Matanza, was arrested this Thursday, authorities confirmed. The arrest of the accused was carried out by order of Judge Gustavo Banco, who, at the request of the homicide prosecutor of that district, had requested his national and international capture. In a joint operation by local and provincial forces, his apprehension took place, and he will be presented in the coming hours to give his first investigative statement.
Tello, 48 years old, passed away on January 15 while traveling on a bus of line 174 with one of her daughters when two criminals shot at the vehicle in the San Justo area. The woman was the mother of eight children whose ages range from 29 years to five years and resided in Isidro Casanova, about four kilometers from where the incident occurred.
Shortly before the fatal outcome, the bus driver warned that two thieves were trying to rob a neighbor on Lynch street at number 2000, and made a sudden maneuver to scare them off. However, the criminals, who were riding a motorcycle, fired at the bus, and one of the bullets struck the woman in the heart, causing her death instantly.
