Journalist Roberto Navarro declared he will run as a candidate if Peronism presents again a "right-wing" figure. He emphasized that, in his opinion, Kirchnerism in its known form no longer exists, as he believes its leaders are in conflict. Navarro expressed these opinions in an interview on "El Destape," a media outlet he himself directs.
"Kirchnerism as we knew it no longer exists, that is what must be accepted," asserted Navarro. Despite having rejected several times forays into politics, he mentioned he will run if the people do not have representation and a candidate he considers right-wing emerges.
The journalist, who has identified as Peronist and close to the provincial governor, Axel Kicillof, emphasized that polls reflect public opinion does not support Milei's ideas and is more inclined towards the Kirchnerist government model of a decade ago.
Regarding the possibility that Cristina Fernández de Kirchner does not choose Kicillof as the Peronist candidate, Navarro assured that if that happens, he himself will run. "If that happens, I will run, that is already decided," he stated. Additionally, he warned that he will not fall into the trap of suggestions about other possible candidates, as he does not consider himself naive to be manipulated in that way.
