More than 200 people from various organizations gathered in Pacheco to support workers protesting against layoffs at Linde Praxair. Solidarity actions spread in Santa Fe and across the region, emphasizing the collective struggle against oppression and for better working conditions.


Workers Unite Against Layoffs at Linde Praxair

More than 200 people from various union, political, social, and community organizations gathered in front of a factory in support of the workers' struggle. Those present included representatives from unions such as CTA-T, CTA-A, SADOP, SUTNA, SUTEBA Tigre, ATE Tigre, as well as workers from different sectors such as food, telecommunications, railways, metallurgy, among others. Political organizations such as La Cámpora, Movimiento Evita, PTS, MST, PO, among others, also participated.

In a show of solidarity, in Puerto San Martin, various organizations gathered at a facility in the region to carry out a day of awareness about layoffs and the fight plan. The solidarity shown in this action and in the call at the entrance of the Pacheco establishment encourages workers to maintain and increase their efforts to achieve the reinstatement of laid-off colleagues.

The workers' assemblies at Linde plc facilities in Pacheco, Pilar, Ensenada, Avellaneda, and Lanús voted to continue the strike initiated in response to a round of layoffs, and a stoppage was launched at all the company's plants along with a sit-in at the company's entrance in Pacheco.

During the day, it was decided to extend the permanent assemblies with a halt in activities in all establishments for another 24 hours, bringing the measure to a total of 72 hours. Workers emphasize that unity, solidarity, and direct action measures are essential to achieve the reinstatement of their laid-off colleagues. The struggle of Linde Praxair workers has received support and solidarity both locally and internationally, thus strengthening their determination in the search for labor justice.
