The former footballer Javier Pinola, who worked as a field assistant to Martín Demichelis at River, shared details about his relationship with the former coach and his departure from the club. Pinola, currently a collaborator of the coaching staff of Nuremberg in Germany, mentioned that he is still hurt by the way they had to leave the club.

One of the aspects that complicated Demichelis's situation at River was a leaked audio; regarding this, Pinola commented: 'The players spoke with Martín after the incident. I didn’t feel the relationship between the parties was unsustainable after the conflict.' Pinola expressed his desire to follow the leadership of Marcelo Gallardo in a future technical direction role in the team.

The former player also denied rumors of problems with Demichelis, highlighting that they remain in contact and that he would like to work again with the team's reinforcements in the way they had originally planned. Pinola showed interest in the possibility of coaching River at some point, stating that it is his wish.
