The National Government has filed a formal complaint against Facundo Jones Huala, leader of the Ancestral Mapuche Resistance (RAM), for alleged incitement to collective violence. The case is in the hands of the Federal Court of Bariloche, presided over by Judge Hugo Grecca. Fernando Soto, National Director of Regulations, detailed in his writing that Huala has publicly promoted 'arson attacks' in the region and has called for armed struggle, which is considered a form of intimidation and a call for collective violence.
In the video, Huala describes himself as a 'militant of the Mapuche cause, revolutionary, anti-capitalist, and anti-system,' claiming his support for sabotage and resistance against oppression. However, he has distanced himself from the recent attack in the southern part of the country, arguing that 'we have never attacked our environment nor the people.' Despite this, the Ministry of Security claims that his statements support such acts.
Torres, governor of Chubut, linked Huala to the fires, pointing out his presence in areas near Epuyén and Estancia Amancay, where significant damages were reported. Although Huala has denied any responsibility for the incidents, the Ministry of Security maintains the opposite. The document mentions that Huala's statements connect him to an organization that could seek to impose its ideas through force or fear.
Huala has been specifically pointed out for his participation in an arson attack in Trevelin, Chubut, and has glorified sabotage against 'the infrastructure of the capitalist system.' The complaint filed by the Ministry of Security, under the direction of Patricia Bullrich, includes charges of 'public intimidation, glorification of crime, and illicit association.'
The accusation arises after the dissemination of a video in which Huala claims responsibility for the recent fires in Patagonia and defends 'armed struggle.' The Ministry of Security emphasized that Huala has stated that all tools are valid in the pursuit of the liberation of the Mapuche people, dismissing the existence of the Argentine State.
