President Javier Milei criticized journalist Pablo Duggan for supporting a ruling by former Supreme Court judge Eugenio Zaffaroni, which stated that abuse "is not a crime because the light was off." Milei considered that Duggan misinterpreted his statements and accused him of doing so frequently.
In an interview, Milei linked gender ideology with child abuse, arguing that following that logic would be similar to calling someone "heterophobic" as a form of questioning. He also mentioned a prominent case related to Zaffaroni and a child abuser where the premise of the light being off was applied to justify the lack of crime.
The president criticized the media coverage of his words and specifically targeted Luis Novaresio, whom he accused of misrepresenting his statements in an interview with Tenembaum. Milei stated that some journalists manipulate his words and highlighted a concept mentioned by Tenembaum of "virtuous pedophiles," referring to individuals with impulses towards minors who consume child pornography but do not act on it. Milei concluded his criticism of journalists by stating that he is defamed with lies and unfounded accusations, accusing them of openly lying.
