Two women have been apprehended as part of an investigation into a suspected fraud case reported by a Tucumán agricultural producer. The head of the Police, Commissioner General Joaquín Girvau, confirmed that eleven raids were carried out in the towns of Capital, El Manantial, and Las Talitas under court order.
"The Rural Crimes division, led by Senior Commissioner Silvio Luna, is conducting an investigation for defrauding a producer in the sale of agrochemicals. Today, during one of the raids, we were surprised to find drugs, specifically 75 packets of marijuana, and two women were detained, and we have already notified the Justice system," Girvau stated.
The governor of the province, Osvaldo Jaldo, expressed his support for the work done by the Police in this case. Girvau highlighted: "We are here to catch criminals, drug traffickers, and we will continue with the investigation to determine how the drugs arrived at this residence. The Justice must act swiftly and condemn these criminals who cause so much harm to society."
Commissioner Girvau felt supported by the Governor and by the Minister of Security, Eugenio Agüero Gamboa. In this regard, he emphasized: "We will be relentless in our fight against crime. Citizens can be at ease, as we watch over the peace and security of all."
Currently, the police have seized 75 packets of marijuana during the raids carried out in different parts of Greater Tucumán. Girvau underscored the determination to continue working firmly in the fight against criminality. Furthermore, he mentioned that the Dangerous Drugs unit is conducting field tests and will continue the investigation based on the information gathered from the seized cell phones.
