Federal March of Antifascist Pride

President Javier Milei provokes outrage with his speech in Davos, prompting a march in defense of LGBTQI+ and feminist rights this Saturday in Buenos Aires.

Federal March of Antifascist Pride

President Javier Milei delivered a speech in Davos where he addressed topics such as the elimination of "woke" ideology and questioned feminism, equity, gender ideology, climate change, abortion, and immigration. He stated that both the majority and minorities must be respected in a democracy. Similarly, he related extreme versions of gender ideology to child abuse, using a same-sex couple convicted of abusing their adopted children as an example.

These statements sparked criticism, including from journalist Guillermo Franco, who suggested that being homosexual should be kept private, provoking outrage in the LGBTQI+ community. In response, journalist Luis Novaresio expressed his support for the LGBTQI+ collective and feminist movements' call for the Federal March of Antifascist and Antiracist LGBTQI+ Pride, which will take place next Saturday.

Novaresio explained in a video posted on social media that the march is a response to expressions he considers discriminatory and reinforces the importance of respecting everyone's rights, without falling into hate speech. He invited his followers to join the march to defend and expand rights, rejecting any attempts at political exploitation.

In his words, the journalist emphasized that the march seeks to promote the defense of freedom and respect for rights, without any intent to undermine or take away rights from anyone. He underlined the importance of coming together to defend essential rights, respecting differences without misunderstandings. The call aims to echo the need to protect fundamental rights and ensure respectful coexistence in society.
