Confession of Femicide in Salvador Mazza Sparks Outcry

Jose Miranda has confessed to the femicide and forced disappearance of his partner, Rosmery Aramayo Torres, although he has not revealed the whereabouts of the body and has even mocked the anguish of her family. One of Rosmery's children, only 7 years old, hopes to find his mother, who has been missing since January 17.

Despite the lack of information from Miranda, the local community, with the help of neighbors and organized groups, continues the search in an area of the Pilcomayo River known for its deep waters and dangerous currents. The desperation to find Rosmery Aramayo Torres is palpable, especially considering that 24 cases of femicide or disappearances under investigation were recorded in the Salta region in 2024.

Miranda initially tried to establish the narrative that Rosmery had gone missing after an incident in the Pilcomayo River, but then confessed to having pushed her into the river. The case was referred to the Unit for Serious Attacks Against Persons (UGAP) and was classified as a femicide. Despite his attempts to divert attention, evidence such as security cameras in Salvador Mazza shows that his initial statements are not true.

Rosmery's daughter, Kimberly, desperately calls for the truth and for the recovery of her mother's body. The community, neighbors, and family demand that Jose Miranda reveal where he disposed of Rosmery's body and that the authorities continue the search. The reconstruction of the events has become crucial in this investigation, as Miranda is the last known person who was with Rosmery, and it is expected that he can provide vital information about her whereabouts.

On January 27, Miranda was scheduled to indicate where he threw Rosmery's body during the crime reconstruction. Meanwhile, the family and community have marched in Salvador Mazza seeking justice and answers. The urgency to find Rosmery Aramayo Torres is evident, and the pressure on Miranda to tell the truth increases as this tragic femicide case deepens.
