Senator Carlos "Camau" Espínola, from the Las Provincias Unidas bloc, expressed his interest in running for the Governorship of Corrientes and seeking significant change in the province through political alliances. Espínola visited the Casa Rosada in Buenos Aires seeking the backing of President Javier Milei to compete in the upcoming elections under the libertarian banner.

In his statements to the press, the senator highlighted the importance of establishing alliances with the Government and other sectors to achieve a united front in the electoral proposal. Espínola emphasized the need for deep changes in the productive matrix, as well as in the efficiency and transparency of the State.

"For me, the alliance with the Government and other sectors is important," said Espínola, stressing the importance of uniting forces beyond individual candidacies to confront the long-standing hegemony of the UCR in Corrientes. In the face of Kirchnerism, which currently has a presence in the province, the senator stated that he would position himself on a different path.

"I will not be with La Cámpora," said Espínola, referring to his opposition to the Kirchnerist political sector. Espínola's visit to the Casa Rosada and his search for support to run for the Governorship reflect his interest in generating significant change in Corrientes and in the country.
