Argentine President Javier Milei intervened at the Davos Forum in Switzerland on Thursday, January 23, presenting his country as a global economic example. Milei emphasized that Argentina has been a model of fiscal responsibility, a solution to inflation, and a new way of doing politics. In his speech, Milei mentioned that the fight for freedom is not complete and that it is still necessary for the majority of Western countries to adopt ideas of liberty for their full development.
He highlighted that throughout the year he has found allies in the fight for freedom around the world, citing names such as Elon Musk, Giorgia Meloni, Viktor Orbán, Nayib Bukele, Benjamin Netanyahu, and Donald Trump. He underscored the importance of standing firm in this cause and not giving up until the ideas of freedom are embraced globally.
Milei also expressed his wish for the West to regain its greatness and promoted his vision of returning to liberalism, showing confidence in Trump's actions in the United States and encouraging other nations to follow the same path. He referred to 'woke' ideology as sinister and murderous, criticizing both the Davos Forum and supranational organizations like the European Union for promoting it.
In his intervention, Milei urged global business and political leaders to recognize that the political formulas of the last decades have failed and that urgent change is necessary. He concluded by stating that the script of the last four decades is exhausted and it is time to dare to think and act differently to build a better future.
