A seven-month pregnant Bolivian woman was arrested in Urutaú, Santiago del Estero, while transporting five packages of cocaine. The National Gendarmerie discovered the drugs concealed on her body during a routine check.

A seven-month pregnant Bolivian woman was arrested on Monday morning in Urutaú, Santiago del Estero, for transporting five packages of cocaine. The operation was carried out by National Gendarmerie personnel at kilometer 466 of National Route 16.

The woman was traveling on a bus coming from the north bound for the province of Buenos Aires. During a routine check, the gendarmes noticed her nervousness and, upon searching her, found the packages of cocaine attached to different parts of her body, totaling more than two kilos.

The drug was discovered between her thighs, lower abdomen, and other parts of her body. The woman was transferred to the gendarmerie headquarters for forensic analysis, and the case was placed under the jurisdiction of Federal Court No. 1 of Santiago del Estero.

According to reports from El Liberal, the detainee is currently in custody and at the disposal of the relevant authorities for the necessary investigations.
