The transport minister of the province of Buenos Aires, Martín Marinucci, was the victim of an assault by four criminals while celebrating his birthday with his family. The incident took place on the night of last Monday, after Marinucci finished dinner at the Gianni restaurant, located at Necochea 241, in the center of La Matanza.
Upon arriving on the sidewalk to meet his wife, his mother, and a friend of the latter, the assailants appeared and stole their belongings. At the screams of the women and the intervention of neighbors who came out to help them, the criminals fled. Amid the confusion, the minister's wife suffered physical assaults that resulted in greater turmoil.
After the incident, Marinucci filed the corresponding complaint and decided to change the locks of his home as a security measure. The following morning, the investigation of the case was handed over to prosecutor José Luis Marotto, from UFI No. 13 of La Matanza, who classified it as aggravated robbery for being committed in a populated area and in a gang. The development of the inquiry is being carried out at the 2nd police station of Ramos Mejía.
