Macri Congratulates Trump on His Second Term

Today, at the beginning of your second term, I want to wish you the greatest success, hoping that the friendship between Argentina and the United States continues to grow,” published the former head of state. Last November, when the elections in the United States declared him the winner over the Democratic Party representative, Kamala Harris, Macri also congratulated him on social media. “I want to congratulate you on your victory and wish you all the best for this new presidency, dear friend,” expressed the former Argentine president at the time.

The last time both politicians met was in our country, in 2018, when both were presidents. Former President Mauricio Macri greeted the new American president, Donald Trump, on social media, wishing him “the greatest success” and expressing hope that “the friendship between Argentina and the United States continues to grow.” Additionally, from his personal X account, Macri recalled that during the previous mandate (2017-2021), he witnessed the “strength of his leadership” and the “enormous potential” achieved in the relationship between both countries.

“Dear friend Donald Trump: during your first term, I was able to witness the strength of your leadership and the enormous potential of the bond between our countries.

The meeting took place within the framework of the G20 Summit and, subsequently, they held a meeting at the Casa Rosada where they discussed the importance of “defending democracy, promoting prosperity and development, security, and defending human rights.”
