The justice system of Córdoba, Argentina, has confirmed the elevation to trial of the case investigating the explosion of a medicinal oxygen tube that caused the death of an 11-year-old child in a house in the provincial capital. According to information published on the official website of the local Public Prosecutor's Office and accessed by the Argentine News Agency, the incident occurred in September 2022, in a home in the Parque Liceo neighborhood, where the tragedy took place. In this context, the Instructional Prosecutor's Office, District Three, Shift Four, considered that the director, Marina Soledad Alesso, and the legal representatives, Claudia Marcela Farías and René Farid Yunes, employees of the company Medinor, are co-authors of the crime of negligent homicide. The prosecutor argues that the employees violated regulatory norms and sold medicinal oxygen without the corresponding permit from the Ministry of Health, 'as well as delegating the filling and transfer of the gas to an inexpert and unskilled employee.' The victim's loved ones filed a complaint in the civil court against the medical products distributor.
