An 8-year-old girl was abused and stabbed to death in the province of Misiones. After the crime, a man was arrested after the little girl told her parents, before dying, that her neighbor had attacked her.
The tragic event took place on Friday afternoon in the town of 25 de Mayo, when the girl did not return from school as expected. After an intense search, the minor was found seriously injured 200 meters from her home and quickly taken to the local hospital.
During the trip to the medical center, the little girl, identified as Fabiana Sirino, pointed out to her parents that her neighbor, nicknamed Nanito, was responsible. The accused surprisingly participated in the search for the girl.
The shock of the girl's death mobilized family and neighbors to demand the police arrest Marcelo Daniel Müller, 35, a suspect of being the actual perpetrator of the crime. The autopsy revealed that the minor was abused and died from hypovolemic shock after receiving 13 stab wounds.
Moreover, it caused outrage in the town to learn that the suspect participated in the search efforts and was present when the victim was found. Neighbors also reported that the individual was seen near the girl's school before the attack, claiming that he seemed to have a premeditated plan.
Müller is expected to be brought in to testify before the Instruction Court 1 of Oberá in the coming hours to clarify the events.
