The National Meteorological Service (SMN) issued a yellow alert for heavy rains in some areas of the southern part of the country. It is expected that the week will continue with bad weather in different regions, so the population is advised to stay informed by the authorities and take necessary precautions.
According to the SMN report, the rains are expected to mainly affect the Neuquén mountain range, Río Negro, and Chubut, with accumulated precipitation values between 15 and 25 mm, which may exceed in some specific points.
Among the recommendations issued by the agency regarding the alert for heavy rains are: avoid outdoor activities, remove objects that obstruct the flow of water, stay away from coastal and river areas, and have an emergency backpack ready with a flashlight, radio, documents, and phone if needed.
