A three-year-old girl was found after going missing for five hours, thanks to the use of a drone by local police in La Pampa. The incident occurred on Sunday in the mentioned province when the girl got lost while playing with her siblings in a rural area near Telén. The parents called 911 after noticing her disappearance, which activated a search operation carried out by more than 60 people, including police officers, firefighters, and volunteers.
At 6 PM that same day, the girl was located, showing only minor injuries from the weeds in the area. The girl was emotional upon reuniting with her family, crying when she saw them arrive. 'She was missing for five hours, more or less, and when she saw her relatives coming, she started to cry,' said Deputy Commissioner Facundo Chamorro, who was instrumental in the rescue of the little girl.
Chamorro explained that initially, it was suspected that the girl was within a three-kilometer by three-kilometer area near the estate's main house, but she was ultimately found in an adjacent area. The deputy commissioner described how the drone spotted the girl as a tiny dot that was confirmed to be her after zooming in.
In response to the situation, an ambulance from Victorica hospital arrived at the scene to provide medical attention to the girl, who was then taken to the health center for observation as a precautionary measure.
