Controversy Over Scabies Infestation on Buenos Aires Subway

A scabies infestation has caused concern among passengers and workers of Line B of the Subte. In response to this situation, the union has begun complaints due to the lack of cleaning and fumigation of the trains and public spaces.

The statement issued by the Union Association of Subte and Premetro Workers highlights that several employees and users have been infected with Scabies, commonly known as scabies, which is causing serious health issues that require medical treatments.

Additionally, the presence of rodents, scorpions, cockroaches, and other disease-carrying agents on Line B has been reported for years. All this occurs in a context of neglect, with an obsolete and deteriorated fleet that endangers the safety of both workers and passengers.

In light of this problem, an immediate solution is requested to combat the scabies infestation and the various pests affecting the line. If no responses are received, the possibility of taking action to address this situation is not ruled out.

On the other hand, the company Emova has communicated that they have reinforced their cleaning and disinfection protocols as a preventive measure. After conducting special monitoring on all trains, it was reported that no pests were found either in the cars or in the stations, according to the fumigation provider.

Finally, the company indicates that there are no formal complaints related to the statement circulated on social media regarding the situation of Line B of the Subte.
