
The National Meteorological Service (SMN) issued a warning for strong storms in different regions of the country, alerting about the possibility of hail and gusty winds. The population is advised to take precautions and stay informed through the relevant authorities.
In this context, it is important to remove objects that could obstruct the flow of water, avoid outdoor activities, and seek shelter away from trees or electrical poles that may fall. To reduce the risk of being struck by lightning, it is advised not to stay on beaches, rivers, lagoons, or swimming pools. Additionally, attention should be paid to the possible fall of hail.
Accumulated precipitation values between 10 and 25 mm are expected, possibly exceeding in some locations. The SMN alert covers areas of La Pampa, Río Negro, and Chubut, with a yellow precaution status in effect for this Wednesday.
In the SMN statement, it is detailed that the storms could be locally strong in the areas under yellow alert. Therefore, the population is advised to have an emergency backpack equipped with a flashlight, radio, documents, and phone to prepare for any risk situation.
