Jorge Lanata's Health Status Improves

The renowned journalist Jorge Lanata has been hospitalized for more than four months, since June 14, and currently, the doctors have begun to reduce his level of sedation. There is leaked information suggesting that Lanata would be awake, with his eyes open, although he still cannot establish a solid connection with his environment.

To regain intellectual contact with his surroundings, the possibility is being considered for the communicator to return to the Santa Catalina neurorehabilitation clinic. Despite being transferred to this institution on two previous occasions, he could not start neurological treatment due to health complications, which forced him to return to the hospital where he originally entered for a routine evaluation in June.

It has been reported that in Lanata's closest circle, amid a legal dispute, there is a debate about the viability of the journalist resuming the referral to the specialized clinic. If he were to go, Lanata would have to begin a rehabilitation process that would include occupational therapy, a path expected to be long.

Additionally, the option for the journalist to return home is being considered. However, his residence does not have the appropriate conditions for his current state, unlike his wife Elba Marcovecchio's apartment. This space has been adapted with facilities suitable for wheelchairs and other amenities, should they be necessary in the future. Both Lanata and Marcovecchio made these modifications to their home as a precaution against potential special care needs.
