
A rescue operation on Champaquí Hill was successful, managing to assist 47 people, including students, parents, and guides who were affected by poisoning. The emergency service of Córdoba received the alert on Wednesday due to the poisoning of 10 students, which triggered a significant deployment with more than 200 personnel involved.
According to accounts from the adults present, the young people began to show symptoms such as diarrhea, vomiting, and fainting, which raised concern and activated the rescue operation. After several hours of work, the Risk Management Secretariat reported that by 2 a.m. on Thursday, the evacuation of the 47 individuals had been completed.
All those affected were transported to a local hospital, where they received medical attention and are out of danger. Those in good health were accommodated in Santa Rosa de Calamuchita. The Secretariat detailed that upon arriving at the base, they were given initial care and then transferred to the hospital for a more detailed evaluation, reassuring both the personnel and the families.
The rescue efforts involved volunteer firefighters, TAC agents, DUAR, members of the Fire Plan, civil defense teams, civil protection, and Ministry of Health personnel, demonstrating coordinated and efficient work to ensure the safety of everyone affected in this emergency situation.
