Man Found Dead on Train Tracks in San Nicolás; Alcohol Suspected

San Nicolás, February 7 (NA) — The body of a man found on the railroad tracks in the Buenos Aires city of San Nicolás had a fracture at the base of the skull, according to forensic experts who performed the autopsy this Saturday. According to the professionals' report, based on the body's position, the absence of bloodstains, and his background, it is likely that he hit his head while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. A woman, Yolanda Genta, who claimed to be the deceased's partner—José Ricardo Moyano—told police that she had argued with her partner four days prior and that he left their shared home. Police sources informed the Noticias Argentinas agency that the victim, a 35-year-old man, was located after a 911 call in a railway area located between Cavalli and Cochabamba streets, in the Del Carmen neighborhood. According to the initial proceedings, officers from the Patrol Command arrived at the scene and confirmed that the body was in an advanced state of decomposition, so the Scientific Police were immediately called to the scene. The official communication stated that the man had a criminal record and a problematic history of alcohol and substance use. In turn, the on-duty judge was notified of the discovery and ordered the corresponding autopsy to be performed, while the case was filed as “investigation of the causes of death”.
