Five men were charged after a coworker's complaint accused them of sexual abuse on a rural road in the Santafecito department of General Obligado. Both the accused and the victim are truck drivers, and the incident was filmed by the aggressors. According to the Argentine News Agency and local media, the incident occurred on January 24, when the victim was in the area for work purposes and was intercepted by a group that, according to the complaint, forced him to get out of his truck at knife point, pulled down his pants, and subjected him to a sexual assault. The victim reported that in addition to the assaults, the accused threatened to cut off his penis and filmed the attack. The audiovisual material was seized by the Prosecutor's Office and is now part of the investigation. The complaint was filed on January 27 at the Prosecutor's Office No. 4 of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Santa Fe, which ordered procedures to identify the suspects. Four of them were arrested with pretrial detention, while the fifth was captured on February 1 as he had initially been released with restrictions. The criminal court judge, Natalia Palud, ordered the measure for Diego M., Diego B., Jorge S., and Enrique S., who remain in judicial facilities, and the case was provisionally docketed as 'gravely outrageous sexual abuse, doubly aggravated by the number of participants and the use of a bladed weapon'. The investigation was delegated to prosecutor Norberto Ríos, who will continue to collect testimonies and evidence to advance the consolidation of the accusation, while the recordings constituted a key element in the case.
