A football school coach will be tried for sexual abuse in Salta. According to the complaint, the incidents occurred between November 2024 and February 2025 while he was in charge of a female team.
The impact of the case was so significant that a teenager provided details of the experiences on television. Lorena Martínez, the prosecutor for Family and Gender Violence in Tartagal, represented the Public Prosecutor's Office at the accusation control hearing in the case against a 56-year-old man. He is accused of sexual abuse with carnal access and statutory rape, both aggravated by his position as an educator.
According to the Argentine News Agency, during the hearing, the Prosecutor's Office stated that sufficient evidence has been gathered to prove the existence of the facts and the authorship of the accused. In response, Judge Ricardo Martoccia decided to elevate the case to trial.
The investigation details that at the time of the abuse against a 15-year-old teenager, the accused was working as a coach at a football school in the city of Tartagal.
Faced with the situation, the minor decided to go to television, where she confirmed the allegations and provided details of the attacks. As part of the investigation, evidence was found indicating that the accused may have sent her explicit sexual videos and taken her to a hotel.
