The Ministry of Security reported that intentional homicides decreased by 17% in 2025 and highlighted that the reduction is due to the implementation of the 90-10 Plan. According to the report accessed by the Argentine News Agency, the percentage reflects that 1,705 people were victims of murders last year, representing a 17% decrease compared to 2023, when 2,047 victims were reported. This is the lowest rate in history, according to data from the ministry headed by Minister Alejandra Monteoliva. «The area where 90% of homicides are concentrated was reduced to 0.8% of the national territory».
