New Primary Health Care Centers in Luján

The Municipality of Luján reported that the new Primary Health Care Centers (CAPS) in Open Door and Pueblo Nuevo are in an advanced stage of execution. The objective is to strengthen the territorial care network and alleviate demand on more complex health facilities. According to the Argentine News Agency, the Open Door CAPS aims to cover the Luchetti area, while the Pueblo Nuevo center is set to reinforce care in El Ombú, with infrastructure designed for frequent consultations and patient follow-up in the neighborhood. The planned scheme includes spaces for offices and first-level specialty care, as well as support areas for daily operations (administration, internal circulation, and waiting), with a focus on accessibility and proximity. In terms of local health policy, the message is clear: more CAPS means greater capacity for response in check-ups, prevention, and early care, especially during high-demand months for seasonal conditions and pediatric check-ups. With the construction in its final phase, the focus will shift to the launch phase: staffing, equipment, and coordination with the rest of the health system for referrals and treatment continuity.
