Argentinian Miss Universe contestant reveals her alopecia

Aldana Masset, a 25-year-old woman from Entre Ríos province competing in Miss Universe representing Argentina, made a strong confession on her social media and revealed a health condition she had hidden, even during her career as a singer. The model was the vocalist for the band Agapornis in 2023 and then dedicated herself to personal projects. However, according to the Argentine News Agency, based on the young woman's social media posts, she lives with alopecia in certain areas of her scalp and showed it that way at the pageant taking place in Thailand. "I have alopecia, I was born with this condition, my hair doesn't grow in this area and it's never going to grow," she stated. "For a long time, it was a great insecurity for me and that's why I never made it public. I can show that everyone has insecurities and it's the most normal thing in the world," she continued. "There is no perfection, we all have our flaws and that's okay. Today, it's something that makes me feel like a strong person," Masset confessed. In a brief, but powerful video, she revealed to her followers: "I can also show that we all have imperfections and it's something that gives me a lot of security. I could cover it up and in fact, I thought about putting makeup on it, but this is me and it's part of me". "It cost me a lot to accept it and to make it known. Now I am at Miss Universe, which is a very important and large platform," she added. "We have nothing to be ashamed of and we must be proud of the people we are, with or without insecurities or flaws," concluded the woman from Entre Ríos.
