The Government of Chubut, through the Ministry of Security and Justice, has initiated a broad deployment on the ground in response to the disappearance of a young man from Gaiman, following the established protocols for such cases.
Around a hundred personnel from various units of the Chubut Police (GEOP, GRIM, and the Canine Section, among others), along with the Civil Defense Directorate, under the Undersecretariat of Citizen Protection, and local Volunteer Firefighters, are conducting an intense search operation in Gaiman, Trelew, and Rawson to locate Emanuel Centeno, 28 years old, who disappeared on April 22.
The day after the formal complaint filed by his family at the local police station, the intervention of the Trelew Division for Missing Persons of the Chubut Police was activated, which has implemented various measures to locate the missing young man.
The search plan includes intensive patrols, constant rounds, the use of specialized dogs, drones, as well as other procedures and resources deployed in urban and rural areas of Gaiman and the nearby localities of the Lower Valley of the Chubut River (VIRCh). Additionally, search efforts have been expanded to irrigation channels and various points in the Chubut River.
To keep all working hypotheses active, vehicular controls have been established at strategic points and internal roads to identify occupants. The Ministry of Security and Justice has urged anyone with information about the whereabouts of Emanuel Centeno to call line 101 or report immediately to a police officer.
