The National Meteorological Service (SMN) renewed this Monday the alerts for strong winds in various areas of the country. A yellow alert was issued for areas of Chubut, Santa Cruz, and Tierra del Fuego due to the adverse weather conditions expected.

In the areas affected by the yellow alert, west winds are forecasted with speeds between 45 and 65 km/h, with gusts that could exceed 100 km/h during the day. A change in wind direction to the north is expected for Wednesday.

The SMN has issued recommendations to cope with these adverse weather conditions. It is advised to avoid outdoor activities, secure objects that could be blown away by the wind, stay informed through local authorities, and have an emergency backpack equipped with a flashlight, radio, important documents, and a phone.
