The motorcyclist Mauro Ezequiel Silva, 32 years old, was arrested five days after hitting and killing the boy Gonzalo in Puerto Madero. The boy's mother, Florencia, expressed with anger and sadness that Silva fled without helping the victim.
After analyzing security cameras and testimonies, Silva was arrested in Villa Ballester. During the investigation, it was discovered that he had posted videos on social media driving at high speeds and participating in illegal races on highways, reaching speeds of over 180 km/h.
These videos generated controversy and discomfort among Gonzalo's family, as they showed dangerous maneuvers performed by Silva and his companions. The accident that took the boy's life occurred during one of these reckless practices in which Silva was involved.
After remaining a fugitive, Silva was finally detained at his home following a surveillance operation. Florencia, the mother of the deceased boy, described Silva's attitude as ruthless: "He killed him like a dog."
