The National Government has published a list of insect repellents and cleaning products whose marketing has been prohibited due to irregularities detected by the National Administration of Medicines, Food and Medical Technology (ANMAT). This measure was implemented through dispositions 465/2025, 459/2025, and 417/2025, published in the Official Bulletin. One of the affected brands is 'Farma' and its product 'Natural repellent, made from citronella oil, brand MOSQUICHAU'.
Disposition 465/2025 establishes that products from the brand 'Edison' cannot be sold due to lack of registration with the regulatory body and the absence of an establishment authorized by it. The prohibition originates from a complaint questioning the legitimacy of the products offered by this brand on electronic sales platforms.
Regarding the brand 'STOP! insect repellent' from the brand 'Dr.', ANMAT also prohibits its distribution and advertising on digital platforms. The complainant reported that the differences in packaging and labeling arise from the use of white/gray PVC bottles with translucent ribbed valves and the absence of a lot number by the counterfeiter.
For its part, the brand MOSQUICHAU has seen the sale of its product blocked throughout the national territory due to the lack of registration. ANMAT requires these products to be removed from the market until they are properly regularized. The disposition affects both repellents and cleaning products, with the aim of ensuring the safety and legitimacy of the products marketed in the country.
