The start of the long weekend will not be ideal in many provinces due to yellow and orange alerts from the National Meteorological Service (SMN) for rain and storms, with hail and stronger winds for this Thursday, April 2, 2026. The good news, which the Argentine News Agency (NA) was able to confirm, is that the weather will improve as the hours go by in most of the country, and thus the conditions for Holy Week will be favorable. Meanwhile, Buenos Aires, including the AMBA, Santa Fe, La Rioja, and Entre Ríos, as well as mountainous areas of Salta and Jujuy, are under a yellow alert. These areas will be affected by heavy rain and storms, some of which may be locally severe. They will be accompanied mainly by abundant precipitation. In addition, frequent electrical activity, possible hail, and gusts that could exceed 90 km/h are forecast.
