On Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, a solidarity event titled "Our America with Gaza" will be held in the San Telmo neighborhood of Buenos Aires. The event aims to raise funds for families in Gaza suffering from the ongoing conflict.

Organized by "A Thousand Cranes for Gaza" and "Cultura yuyos," the event is supported by "Tejiendo Solidaridad con Gaza" and "Mesa por Palestina." It will feature artistic performances and exhibitions as a form of resistance and community building against global Zionist and imperialist advances.

"All the projects I carry out are with my friends and friends from Gaza," said Natalia Bissan. "This space tries to recover the idea of collective action to build a 'we'." The main beneficiary of the funds will be the "Semillas de Tiza" project, which supports education in Gaza, including the purchase of school supplies and the construction of a school.

Support will also be extended to the families of Palestinian artists Mohammed Hosam and Najwa Khalil, and photographer Shadi Ismail, whose exhibition will premiere at the event. Funds will also be sent to the families of Rushdi Abu Ras, Shaima Hosam, and Ahmed Al Harrazin.

"A Thousand Cranes for Gaza" is inspired by the story of Japanese girl Sadako Sasaki, who, after the Hiroshima bombing, folded paper cranes believing that a thousand would grant her wish. Sadako folded 644 before her death, and her friends completed the rest for her. This story has become a universal symbol of hope and solidarity.
