Early Sunday morning, Mar del Plata ended in tragedy when a 30-year-old man lost his life following a violent fight outside a nightclub located in the Batán area. The incident occurred on the Collector and 132nd Street, where, according to initial reports, an argument broke out that escalated into a direct physical attack on the victim. As a result of the blows, the man collapsed on the ground with a severe and irreversible head injury. Despite being urgently transported to the HIGA Hospital, doctors confirmed his death shortly after his admission. The immediate police response led to the arrest of an 18-year-old suspect, who was detained and made available to the justice system on charges of homicide. In addition to this arrest, police had to detain a 24-year-old woman who was at the scene. According to sources from the investigation, the young woman attempted to violently obstruct the forensic tasks at the crime scene, seeking to prevent officers from securing the necessary evidence for the case. The case is under the jurisdiction of Prosecutor Leandro Arévalo, who has already ordered a series of urgent measures to reconstruct the event. During the day, security camera footage, both public and private, was reviewed to identify if there were more participants in the brawl. The autopsy results are also awaited to determine if any blunt object was used during the attack or if the injuries were solely the result of punches and falls.
