San Martín's Saber on Public Display in Buenos Aires

The Mounted Grenadier Regiment opened its doors to the public to exhibit the corvo saber of General José de San Martín. The relic has returned to military custody after years at the National Historical Museum. Address: Luis María Campos 554, CABA. Visiting days: Wednesday to Sunday and public holidays. Hours: 11:00 to 19:00. Cost: Free entry. The transfer of the artifact from the civilian (National Historical Museum) to the military is a decision of the national government, aiming to have the saber guarded by the elite unit created by San Martín himself in 1812. According to Argentine News Agency, after yesterday's tributes at the Battle of San Lorenzo, the relic is now at its new destination in Buenos Aires and can be visited by the general public starting today. The Regiment has published the official schedule for those wishing to see the weapon that accompanied the Liberator in the American struggle.
