A tragic accident occurred in the last few hours when a pedestrian attempted to cross the Buenos Aires-La Plata Highway at kilometer 27 in the Buenos Aires locality of Berazategui. Police sources informed the Argentine News Agency that the incident was recorded around 9:23 PM on Saturday and was reported to traffic safety officers. Upon arrival, police confirmed the presence of a white Ford Fiesta, driven by 53-year-old Walter Félix Collazo, which, for reasons still under investigation, struck a pedestrian. Minutes later, an ambulance from the highway concession arrived, and a doctor confirmed the victim's death at the scene. The man could not be identified, so he was registered as NN (unknown person), while the scene was preserved for expert tasks, with the involvement of the Berazategui Scientific Police. The case was filed as negligent homicide and is being handled by the UFI and J on special duty for negligent crimes of the Quilmes Judicial Department, under the prosecutor Santilín. As a result of the operation, the fast and central lanes remained obstructed for several hours, so traffic circulated with delays on the slow lane and the shoulder.
