According to the Argentine News Agency, the Canadian fiction, which had already caused a furor in its country of origin, finally premiered in Argentina and the rest of Latin America, consolidating itself as one of the most commented bets of the month within the HBO Max catalog. The series landed on the platform this Friday, February 6th, after its successful run in Canada, where it was originally broadcast on Crave. Based on the literary saga “Game Changers” by Rachel Reid, “Heated Rivalry” consists of six episodes. Starring Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie, the story follows Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov, two professional ice hockey players who maintain a heated rivalry on the rink. However, outside the sports arena, they maintain a secret and deeply passionate relationship, traversed by the demands of fame, the pressure of high performance, and the fear of exposure. Directed by Jacob Tierney, the production received praise for its sensitive treatment of relationships and its modern look at romance in professional sports. Just a few days after its original premiere, a second season has already been confirmed, although there is no official date yet.
