The Secretary of Labor of Argentina, Julio Cordero, highlighted recent advances in the country's labor sector, attributing them to sustained fiscal balance and key reforms in labor legislation. Cordero emphasized the coordination between the Ministries of Labor, Human Capital, and Economy as part of an effort to lay solid foundations that promote growth.
Among the noted achievements, Cordero emphasized the stability of wages in relation to inflation. According to his statements, workers have experienced real growth in their purchasing power, without this translating into prices. The secretary underscored the importance of salary increases being effective and not causing inflationary impact.
Cordero mentioned that a recovery in employment has been observed in the private sector. He pointed out that for the first time in years, a positive trend in the creation of new jobs is being perceived. In particular, he highlighted a significant change in the private employment curve during the month of September, suggesting the start of an economic recovery.
"In September, the private employment curve changed direction, which allows us to think that the recovery is beginning and that indeed this Argentina can be built on solid bases in a completely adequate manner," concluded Cordero when referring to the future prospects of the labor market in the country.
